Abita Restoration Pale Ale

Abita Brewing Company, Abita Springs, LA

Restoration Pale Ale is brewed with pale, caramel, and capapils malts.  It is liberally hopped and dry hopped with Cascade hops.  This golden ale has a rich body, mild bitterness, and a snappy citrus hop flavor and aroma.

5.2% ABV

Restoration Pale Ale smells like Citra hops.  It has a lot of hop flavor, but little/none of the bitterness.  It is golden in color.  We would both prefer a bit more bitterness on the palate.  Otherwise, there isn’t much to this brew.  It has enough hops to keep it drinkable, but nothing grabs our attention.  It is like Baby’s First Beer (if only THAT was legal).

Would we have it again? When we are in the mood for something very mild…
