Parish Envie

Parish Brewing Company, Broussard, LA

5.3% ABV

Parish’s Envie American Pale Ale smells very hoppy – we are guessing that it is dry-hopped.  Very citrus notes.  It is a golden/orange color.

The Envie is very bitter up front, with some fruit at the end.  The bitterness up front really beats that fruit taste down though.  The Envie seems out of balance – disjointed even.  The bitter taste really slaps you.  The bitterness rivals that of an IPA and it has fruit like an IPA.  It reminds us of a baby IPA.

Would we have it again?  YES

Would we get a 6 pk?  The bitterness is a bit much for us to drink a lot of this.
