Mudbug Brewery, Thibodaux, LA
Kick back. Knock off. “Swamp sneakers.” “Dulac Slippers.” “Breaux Bridge Pumps.” A pair of white rubber boots goes by many names in Louisiana. From the boat to the festival and everything in between, shrimpers and fisherman swear by them; Cajuns live by them. Here’s to the hard workers and life’s enjoyers. A smooth, relaxing beverage after the long day is done.
Hazy amber in color with not much of a nose: a slight whiff of malt. Also not much going on on the palate: malty with a bit of lemon citrus at the end. Like a sweet cupcake with lemon frosting.
Would we have it again? Nah…
