Samuel Adams Octoberfest

Boston Beer Company, Boston, MA; Cincinnati, OH; Breinigsville, PA

In 1810, the Oktoberfest tradition was born when Munich celebrated the Crown Prince’s wedding with a special beer in a 16-day party.  Our version of this classic style blends rich malts for a hearty, smooth flavor with notes of caramel creating a brew that’s perfect for the season, or whatever you’re celebrating.

5.3% ABV

Clear amber/orange in color with a hint of sweet malt on the nose.  Much sweeter than other Oktoberfest beers we have tried.  Sweet to the point of cloying.  The sweetness either overpowers the burnt aftertaste or the aftertaste is not there to begin with.  Father Jack believes he does get some bitterness on the aftertaste.

Would we have this again?  No
