Harpoon Brewery, Boston, MA; Windsor, VT
There are subtle, but unmistakable signs… The first hint of a chill in the air, the first few leaves that start to turn, the first day at the brewery when everyone shows up in flannel, that announce the arrival of fall.
Clear amber in color with a hoppy nose. Reminds us of a Double IPA: very fruity. Medium bodied, smooth and hop fruitiness. We would never have guessed this was an Amber Ale if we were tasting this blind. Not what we were expecting, but an interesting find.
Would we have it again? Yes
Would we get a 6-pack? Nah…
