Abita Creole Cream Ale

Abita Brewing Co., Abita Springs, LA

Creole Cream Ale is crisp and flavorful.  Pale malted barley adds a sweet aroma and flavor, balanced by Louisiana-grown Blanca Isabel purple rice for a crisp, dry finish.  Mildly hopped and dry hopped with Apollo, Cascade and Ekuanot hots for aromas of fruit and pine.

5% ABV

Clear gold with a very light malt smell.  This tastes just like malt, not bitter or sweet.  It’s a bit sweet towards the end as well.  It’s a big nothing really.  It tastes like smelling the wort when it comes out of the mash tun.  Otherwise, it’s easy to drink.  Maybe that’s why cream ales are popular?

Would we have it again? No
