Great Raft Commotion APA

Great Raft Brewing, Shreveport, LA

BOLD.  GENEROUSLY HOPPED.  BALANCED.

5.5% ABV

Great Raft’s Commotion American Pale Ale smells hoppy, but not as hoppy as Parish’s Envie.  It also has a somewhat fruity smell on the nose.  It tastes light, with some bitterness up front but more at the end.  There is no other real flavor.  It is not overly bitter like biting into an aspirin, but bitterness is all you get with Commotion.  It is not very malty either.  All we can taste are bittering and flavoring hops.  It is amber in color.

We first tried Great Raft brews at the New Orleans on Tap event in 2015.  We haven’t made our way to the brewery in Shreveport yet though.

Would we have it again?  NO
